Griffith Community Playgroup is situated in Griffith Community Centre and has been in operation for over seventeen years. Griffith is staffed by three experienced and highly qualified childcare workers. Our playgroup provides places for twenty two children annually. Griffith participates in the ECCE (Early Childhood Care & Education) Scheme which entitles children aged between 2 years & 8 months, on the 1st of September each year to two years free childcare place.

What we doChildren learn while playing and having fun. Our curriculum is play based on the Aistear themes and Siolta principles. Siolta means seeds, it expresses the potential of a child to grow and succeed. Aistear means journey. Promoting well being, identity, belonging and exploring and thinking.
Mission StatementAt Griffith Playgroup our aim is to provide a safe happy and healthy environment for your child. We operate on an equality and diversity basis. We work well with parents, staff and everyone involved in the daily running of our service to provide a high quality service.
Our goal throughout the school year is to liaise with parents and guardians to help promote the holistic development of each child. |
